DS Design Studio designed advertisements, collateral, packaging, tradeshow graphics, posters, online & email campaigns, branding initiatives, and web site development for LODESTAR. In addition, we assisted in the branding transition prior to and during the Oracle buyout of LODESTAR Corporation.

LODESTAR ad series: These ads were conceived by analyzing existing LODESTAR content for inspiration. A lead-in statement in their mission explained that they had a solid track record so we utilized that verbiage and built a campaign around it. Working closely with the marketing department, we also learned that the company wanted to be viewed as a global leader with offices around the world so we built that into the second advertisement.

These sales promotion packages were conceived and designed for LODESTAR Corporation and became an important sales tool that showcased key employees, data sheets, testimonials and demos of the software. These executeable 80mb cds were later used extensively as sales tools in other countries such as Korea, Italy, Germany and France.

These are two ads designed with same look and feel. The all-star ad was for help wanted and the other ad was an introduction of the new GUI (graphical user interface) for their software package.

The content for this ad was provided. The layout and photo selection was left up to us. The primary goal of the ad was to portray LODESTAR as a global supplier of energy software solutions with important and necessary partners around the world. The imagery chosen in this case had the key elements we needed - team-oriented, partnerships, individuals working toward the same goal, and the "competitive pressures".

This ad was conceived by analyzing existing LODESTAR content for inspiration. A benefit that was highlighted in their content mentioned a "20 Year Track Record, performing start-to-finish processing". This content struck a cord with us so we analyzed more of their verbiage and realized that other benefits of their software included a "scalable, flexible, and accurate" solutions. By marrying these benefits together, the track theme was born and we went to work on using exactly the right photos. The high jumper was "scalable", the pole vaulter was "flexible", the javelin was "accurate".

DS Design Studio had one thing to go on from the client, they wanted to present themselves as a company with a better ROI (return on investment). Our approach was to think in terms of what visuals would encapsulate a good return. The result would be a good football return (over the goalline), a tennis return, and a return button on the keyboard.

Tradeshow mailer and signage: This is a pre- show mailer that we designed for an annual event that happened to be in Salem, Massachusetts this particular year. The mailer was an invitation for attendees and a "Welcome" sign was produced for the event as well.
