Greg's introduction to transportation came in 1979 when he starting working for UPS. He worked the night shift as a teamster sorting packages at the Lynnfield, Ma facility, while attending Merrimack College. Shortly after graduation he started his first freight sales job at Hall's Motor Transit. After Hall's closed it doors in 1986, Greg continued working in sales for the next 15 years, selling for such carriers as Old Dominion, St. Johnsbury, Central Transport and Carolina Freight. In 1997, he opened and ran a very successful freight brokerage operation. After a change in ownership in 2000, Greg opened Breakaway Express. The year 2009 will be our 9th year in business. We have experienced substantial growth since opening in 2001. We've also opened a new office in Tampa, Florida where we have a continually growing customer base. We are very financially solid Corporation with low overhead and a conservative approach to the business of hauling freight. We thank our customers for their business and their continued support. |
